Upton Nature Garden Birthday Walk and Talk
It’s been a year since the nature garden started to take shape. With a huge effort from volunteers like you we’ve succeeded in transforming the derelict playground into a thriving garden for everyone to enjoy. The result is already contributing to biodiversity in the village. Witness the mass of bees, hoverflies and butterflies on the wildflowers over the summer.
Now it’s time to celebrate and start looking at how we can improve the garden for its second year.
Join us for a garden party on Sunday 2 October, 10.30am
We’d like to say thank you to everyone who’s contributed by inviting you all to our birthday bash. It’ll be a chance to appreciate what you’ve created in the company of Oxford Botanic Garden’s Kate Pritchard who’ll lead a walk and talk around the garden, followed by refreshments.
Kate is one of the Botanic Garden’s curators, responsible for the living collections. As we tour our Nature Garden, Kate will be revealing the secrets of maintaining a rich, mixed habitat for plants and wildlife (and humans too) drawing on her 30 years of horticultural experience.
Supported by Oxfordshire County Council as part of Great Big Green Week.
